Each student will develop a PowerPoint presentation. The PowerPoint presentation should provide a detailed overview of one of the topics listed in Appendix F of the syllabus that you have been assigned based upon your rankings. The presentation should help provide parents, other professionals, and/or individuals with autism with current information on the topic. Students should incorporate current research into the presentation. It also is important that the information is accurate. Students are encouraged to be creative when developing the presentation. All sources should be listed using APA style at the end of the presentation. You will need to attach your PowerPoint presentation using the this Canvas assignment page. PLEASE MAKE SURE ANY ACTIVE LINKS AND/OR VIDEOS WORK ON A COMPUTER OTHER THAN YOUR OWN BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR PRESENTATION. The presentation is worth 100 points. Your presentation will be graded using the rubric in Appendix E of the syllabus. It is important that you review the rubric prior to starting the assignment and developing your presentation.
As part of the upcoming Discussion Board (DB 5), you will need to post your PowerPoint presentations for your classmates to view. If you do not receive feedback indicating the need for revisions, feel free to post your graded presentation for the DB when it is made available.
