1)Discuss one personal strength and one weakness you have regarding professional presentations. Name one method for improvement for each of these and discuss why it is important for you to work on these skills if you want to present your findings in a more formal setting.

My capacity to communicate challenging information understandably and concisely is one of my professional presentation strengths. I excel at breaking down complex concepts into easily understandable parts using straightforward language and illustrations to improve understanding. Adding more storytelling strategies to my presentations could be one way to make improvements. I may establish a deeper emotional connection with the audience and make the content more approachable and memorable by incorporating pertinent stories or experiences into the presentation. This improvement method will help me engage the audience deeper and make my presentations more impactful. I should focus on using storytelling techniques in my presentations because they improve audience engagement and information retention. By appealing to the emotional side of human thought, storytelling enhances the memorability and relatability of the information presented. Gaining proficiency in this area will enable me to leave a lasting impression on the audience and successfully present my findings in a formal context.

Anxiety and nervousness are two of my main weaknesses when it comes to professional presentations. Even though I am confident in my subject matter and understanding, I occasionally find it difficult to control my anxiety, which can have an impact on my performance when I make my presentation. I need to get better at controlling my anxiety if I wish to present my research in a more formal context. My ability to engage the audience, successfully explain my thoughts, and project confidence in my knowledge can all be hampered by nervousness. I can make sure that my findings are presented with clarity, credibility, and professionalism by fixing this issue and improving my presentation delivery, which will enhance the impact and influence of my presentations.

2)Sustaining change can be difficult, as there are many variables that can affect implementation. One critical component of EBP is to ensure that practice change is part of an organization’s culture so it will continue to impact outcomes over time. Name two potential barriers that may prevent your EBP change proposal from continuing to obtain the same desired results 6 months to a year from now, and your strategies for overcoming these challenges.

Long-term adoption of evidence-based practice is required to improve and promote sustainable, adequate healthcare quality to enhance patient outcomes. Evidence-based practice has been shown to improve health systems, but various obstacles must be removed before it can be successfully implemented. Some barriers include a lack of support from leaders and resistance to change from staff.

Lack of support from the leadership may prevent an EBP change proposal from achieving the same predicted outcomes over the next six months to a year. For change to persist over time, leadership needs the support of other leaders. Ensuring that leaders are involved in the EBP process from the start and understand the importance of the change is one method to overcome this challenge.

It is essential to ensure that all staff members are on board with the EBP reform plan. One strategy to overcome this challenge is to involve staff members in the EBP process and ensure they understand how the change will benefit them individually and the organization.

One strategy for dealing with leadership’s lack of support is to create a team of champions. A group of individuals who support the EBP change proposal and are eager to serve as ambassadors to advance the change inside the organization comprise a group of champions. A communication plan is another way to get around the problem of staff members not being on board. A communication strategy will ensure that all parties involved are informed of the status of the proposed EBP change and recognize the importance of this comprehension. The third strategy to guarantee the long-term sustainability of my EBP change proposal is to regularly assess the change’s execution and make any needed modifications. This strategy can assist in assuring the successful implementation of my change by ensuring that it continuously satisfies the organization’s needs.
