This is the first of five media journals you will be completing throughout the course. Each entry is a building block to a final Media Literacy Assessment Report due in Week 12. Your answers to the Media Journal Entry (MJE) prompts should be written in complete sentences using paragraphs to separate out your ideas/topics/bullet points. There is no minimum or maximum word count, but a general guideline is to aim for between 500 -750 words.

Sometimes, you will be asked to answer a series of questions. Feel free to copy and paste the questions into your document so you can type your answers under each question. Other times, you might be assigned a specific activity and then asked to report on it. If you ever need any clarification, please don’t hesitate to ask the instructor.

Since you will be reviewing these entries at the end of the quarter, my recommendation is that you prepare your responses in separate Word documents and save/organize them in a way you can easily refer back to them. Another way to do this is to keep one Word document with all five entries and copy/paste each individual entry into the text box provided under the assignment link each week.
