The discussion for this week aligns with the textbook’s review of sentencing.
According to your textbook, arguments for capital punishment include revenge, just deserts, and the protection of society.
TASKS:
- Review the Grand Jury Indictment noted below on the Dylann Storm Roof a capital punishment case.
- Summarize: start your discussion with a high-level overview of the facts of the case.
- Note the justification for recommending the death penalty in this case. Note whether you believe this falls within the three arguments above in support of the death penalty in this case.
- Respond to the question below:
- Do you support the death penalty in the Dylan Storm criminal case? Why or why not?
